A Hair-Raising Question.

Dear Fashion Diary,

{I've got Jesus on my shoulder!}

My hair has never bothered me more than it does in these pictures!
Arrrrgh! {Apparently I turn into a pirate when frustrated.}
I suppose I could claim it's part of the Ombre hair style I have seen everywhere..
But in reality I just can't afford new highlights.
I'm crossing my fingers that people who see me around town will just think
I'm extremely trend-savvy. ;)
But I have a hair question for all you fashionistas out there!
Should I just let it keep growing out and turn into a brunette for the FIRST time in my life?! Or should I go bite the bullet and get the highlights?
I've considered going darker just to see what it looks like...
What do YOU think?

I didn't even notice that your grow out was so much till you said something. It does just look like your on top of the fashion thing right now! :) haha. But since I just went darker I'm all about going dark! I think it'll look great any way!

I honestly didn't even notice your roots until you said something. And that's coming from a hairstylist :)
You'll be so cute dark or with new highlights. But if it's better for you to stop paying for the highlights right now then go dark!

You'll look amazing both ways, but I think dark would look very cool on you :) But, you know, you must do what feels right for you ;) xoxo

I also hadn't noticed until I really looked in the last picture! They say ombre is in...but you can't go wrong either way! :) Try something new!

You'll look good either way! You can grow it out if you feel like trying something different! :)
You wont believe it but i have never colored my hair not got any highlights until now!

I always say: when in doubt, try something different. Though I'm sure your hair would look great no matter what. And it DOES look like you are rocking the ombre trend. :)

You should totally go dark! I've been a natural blonde my whole life, and I just went DARK, and it's been such a fun change!!! I say go for it!!!!!

Hmmm... try the brunette look first and then go back when it doesn't look good on you, at least then you'll know.

Love the checked shirt and the boots... you look so cool in there ♥

Let it grow out! I've been working on that too! We can do it together!

Have to admit--did not notice your roots that much, either. I think it would be fun to see you as a brunette!
And I absolutely adore this look, especially the vest with the checkered shirt.
Take care!

I think it's a great idea to go darker and pick a colour that is more similar to your original colour. you can always add highlights later but don't have to colour your hair that much anymore. give it a try! ;)

Going darker or getting the ombre done professionally will cut down on costs in the long run because you wont have to recolor it so often. :)

I once cashed in pop cans so I could get a few highlights.
However, I have finally given up on blonde hair for now and gone completely brunette. I'm actually having fun with it.

love the outfit! And you should totally grow it out! I'd love to see what it looks like natural. BTW Charming Charlie's is the best!!

With outfits like that, no one has a chance to notice your hair because you look so dang cute! I am the same way with my highlights- too expensive! I say try brown, why not??

I noticed, but I thought you were going for an ombre thing there :) Such a tricky look to pull off.

Anyhow, come to the dark side!
Being brunette is the bees knees.

I'm doing the exact same thing with my hair right now! I also try to pretend I'm super cool and it's just the ombre look - I don't think I'm fooling anyone though :)
I say give the natural color a shot! It's cheaper AND healthier for your hair!
